WEATHER CANCELLATION UPDATE:

Operation Christmas Child

For the month of October is shipping costs of $9.00 for each box.  That is a total of $4,275.00 for 475 boxes.  Please make checks payable to Samaritan’s Purse and not Grace Missionary Church and place in the offering or box in the foyer.  Ask the Lord what he would have you do to reach children with the gospel message.  The church packing party will be Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 6:45 pm.

OCC Shoe boxes

Empty shoe boxes are available by the OCC collection area for those that would like to pack their own personal box.  Girl and boy labels are available, just see Willard Umstead for one.  Take as many as the Lord leads you to pack.  Return when completed.  Thanks!

CALL Ministries

American Heritage Girls Troop OH-0724 is collecting food to help CALL Ministries to fill up their food pantry.  During the month of September they are in need of baby food and baby diapers.  Please put your donations in the designated box in the foyer.

Additionally, C.A.L.L. Ministries proudly serves 750 financially disadvantaged families of Mercer County with their basic needs each month.  With cold weather approaching the need for warm blankets increases.  C.A.L.L. is starting a blanket drive to address this need with a goal of collecting:  500 NEW BED SIZE blankets by December 1.  For more information call Carol Burnett at 419-733-9689 or email to hwburnett@yahoo.com.  Please put your donations in the designated box in the foyer.

Pastor Appreciation

The month of October is Pastor Appreciation.  Let’s show our Grace support and appreciation by blessing Pastor Brett and family through prayer, cards, etc.  First, and most importantly, lift up Pastor Brett in prayer daily, asking God to guide him, bless him and give him His direction for the church.  Also, pray for Pastor Brett and family.  Second, cards, letters of appreciation, gift cards, etc. can be placed in the card box in the foyer starting October 1.  There will be a carry-in meal appreciation Sunday, October 20, after the morning service.  Drinks are the only thing that will be provided.  What you bring is what we will be eating.  Thanks.

Winter Warmth Day

Many people in Mercer County need YOUR help to keep warm this winter!  Last year, over 300 individuals-both kids and adults-received coats, hats or gloves at Our Home’s Winter Warmth Day program, and we expect an equal or greater need this year.  Please consider sharing your warmth by donating items:  you can bring them to Our Home at 117 W Fayette St. in Celina, or look for collection boxes in area businesses.  Winter Warmth Day will be on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9-11 am at 1107 N Main St. Celina (in the Chief Shopping Center).  Donations are needed any time before Oct. 21.  Thanks for helping keep the community warm!

Call Em’ All

As winter is coming upon us, we need an updated listing of your telephone number and name if you wish to be called for Wednesday and Sunday cancellations due to inclement weather.  Please update your information on the sheet at the Welcome Center or if correct please mark it correct.

Directory, Birthdays, and Anniversaries

Please go to the Welcome Center and check your name, address, e-mail, phone number, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. so GMC can prepare a 2020 directory for everyone shortly after the new year.  Even if you think it is correct, please still mark it correct on the sheet.

Prayer Chain Update

If you are currently on the prayer chain e-mail, would like to be on the prayer chain e-mail, or removed from the prayer chain e-mail, there is a list at the Welcome Center to mark correct, remove, or be added.  If you do not have e-mail, Beverly Duff will call you when a prayer need is requested.  Please add your name to the list with a phone number for the prayer phone call chain.  Thanks.

Daylight Savings Time

Don’t forget to set your clocks back one hour as we “fall back,” Sunday, November 3, at 2:00 am, as daylight saving time comes to an end.

Office Hours

The office will be open on Monday, October 28, and closed on Friday, November 1.  Thanks and sorry for any inconveniences this has caused.
