Who We Are

Grace Missionary is a church family located in the rural town of Celina, Ohio. Since our beginning, we have strived to love and serve our community spiritually, relationally, and practically. Our passion to know Jesus and to make Him known, in our lives and in the lives of others, leads us to make disciples in our neighborhoods. This is why we consider Grace to be a neighborhood church. Now, when we say neighborhoods, we are specifically referring to: 1) where our church is located, 2) where we live and work and socialize, 3) where unreached people reside (neighbors not yet apart of God’s family).
When Jesus first gave the Great Commission to His disciples, they were invited to join Him in continuing the work that He had started. As Christians today, Jesus continues to invite us to join Him in accomplishing the Father’s mission to make disciples of all people everywhere. Our discipleship journey begins when we are reconciled to the Father through Jesus, then the Holy Spirit empowers us to live as a disciple by filling us, equipping us, and transforming us. The Father wants this for all people who would come to Him in faith. So, as disciples of Jesus and as a church family, we seek to make disciples in our neighborhoods.

What We Believe

As part of the Missionary Church family, we share the following basic statement of faith:
There is only one eternal, all-powerful, all-knowing and everywhere-present Triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit— who is the creator and sustainer of all things.
Jesus Christ is truly God and truly human. He lived a sinless life, died to make atonement for the sins of all mankind, was resurrected, and is now mediator at the right hand of the Father. Jesus is coming again in power and glory for His believing church. Jesus Christ is the only Savior of mankind.
The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, bringing to new life all who repent of their sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. The Holy Spirit sanctifies, empowers, teaches, guides, and comforts all who believe.
The Bible is the inerrant, divinely inspired Word of God, and authoritative in all matters it addresses.
Salvation is the result of one’s genuine repentance of sin and faith in the atoning work of Christ. It brings forgiveness to the repentant, makes them a participant of the divine nature, and gives peace with God and one another. A person is saved by grace through faith, and not the result of works; however, salvation is evidenced in life by one’s Christ-likeness and spiritual fruit.
We believe in the invisible and universal Church as the living Body of Christ. It is composed of all believers in the Lord Jesus who have been vitally united by faith to Christ, who is the living Head and sovereign Lord of the Church.
We believe there are two Christian ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe they are outward rites appointed by Christ to be administered in each church, not as a means of salvation, but as a visible sign and seal of its reality.
