When you come and experience Grace Missionary Church you will soon discover that we are not about religion but about relationships — a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and relationships with each other. We take Acts 2:42 to heart: “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
We strive to live out the Mission Jesus has given us in Matthew 28:19-20: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.” Making disciples requires doing life together. We look forward to meeting you and making you part of our family.
You are always welcome at Grace –  just as you are!

Operation Christmas Child

As Grace has collected material things each month for OCC shoe boxes; this month we would ask for your prayers for the children that will receive a box.  Pray that their hearts will be open to hear about the love of Jesus and God’s plan of salvation for them.

Last End of Year Offering

Christmas Eve, December 24th, is the last Sunday to turn in your tithing contributions for 2017.  So be thinking ahead for taxes if you are being called to make an extra contribution to the church.  This will help in timely contributions as well!

Grace Scholarships

GMC has two college scholarships available for those students who are going to college.  The deadline is Jan. 31st.  First, the General Scholarship is for students attending any college and is for one year only (no renewal).  Second, the Bethel/Taylor Scholarship is for students planning to attend Bethel College (Mishawaka, IN) or Taylor University (Upland, IN).  This scholarship is renewable each year.  Forms for these scholarships are available at the church office or from any scholarship member (Jack Baughman, Gary Mastin, or Sandy Staugler).  Additionally, anyone wishing to make a year-end designation may do so by marking the check/envelope with “General Scholarship Fund.”  The scholarship committee thanks you for your support.

Revive Ohio Outreach Day
Will be Saturday, Dec. 16th, at Grand Lake UMC.  “By grace you have been saved through faith and this is not of your own doing; it is the gift of God.”  Ephesians 2:8  Come out and disicple with the community as Jesus is the reason for this season!
Christmas Cards

To save a stamp, use the mailbox in the foyer and distribute your Christmas greetings to your church family these next few weeks!

Roof Project
Buildings & Grounds recommended & the Leadership Team approved a Roof Project to add trusses and improve the roof over our entry foyer to resolve an ongoing problem with ice buildup and water leakage.  This project is being scheduled for next spring.  The Leadership Team also “approved this project for Designated Giving”.  Please mark your giving envelope or check with “Roof Project” if you wish to designate giving for this use.
Christmas Eve Service
Join us Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24th, at 7 pm with a candlelight service for a night of worship, celebration, and reflection on the arrival of our Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ.  Through song and scripture we will praise God for sending us His Son.  What child is this?
Christmas Backpack Program

This is a great opportunity for us to serve our community this Christmas Season.  The Celina Ministerial Association has teamed up with C.A.L.L. Food Pantry to provide 200 children with food during the Christmas break.  We will be taking up a special offering Dec. 17th,  to help purchase the food for the back packs.  Make checks payable to Grand Lake UMC.  You can also help with packing the food into bags at St. John’s Lutheran Church (Purple Door) Sunday, Dec. 17th at Noon in their fellowship hall.  Lastly, we need help delivering the bags to the schools on Monday the 18th and Tuesday the 19th. Please contact the church office if you are able to help deliver the bags to the schools.
